PGE Baltica has published its procurement plan for 2025, setting out the key areas of cooperation for suppliers interested in participating in the company’s offshore wind projects.
The document contains a list of procurements scheduled to be launched in the coming months and provides an opportunity to prepare in advance for tenders and to adapt resources to the requirements of the sector and the specifics of the ongoing projects. In 2025, PGE Baltica’s procurement proceedings will specifically cover activities for the Baltica 1, Baltica 7 and Baltica 9 Offshore Wind Farms. The work will include surveys, measurements and consultancy.
Where to find details?
A detailed list of procurement proceedings is available in the PGE Group Procurement System (SWPP2) [System Zakupowy Grupy PGE]. Information, instructions and a supplier form can also be found under the ‘Purchasing’ [Zakupy] tab on the PGE Baltica website: www.pgebaltica.pl.
It is worth recalling that this week PGE announced the selection of a general contractor for a new operations and maintenance (O&M) base in Ustka. The tender was won by the Gdansk-based Korporacja Budowlana Doraco, which will design and construct the port infrastructure and buildings necessary for the operation of offshore wind farms.
The decision to select Doraco was originally made in December 2024, but following an appeal by one of the bidders, the bids were re-evaluated. In February 2025, Doraco’s proposal was again selected, this time without further appeal.
PGE Baltica already has the construction permit for the O&M base and has signed an agreement with the contract engineer, Sweco Poland, which will oversee the design and construction of the project. The new infrastructure will be built on an area of approximately 2.3 hectares on the western side of the port in Ustka and will include, among others, an office and welfare building, a storage building, a manoeuvring area and a quay for crew transfer vessels (CTV).
Construction work is scheduled to begin in spring 2025, with completion and commissioning of the facility scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2026. The first wind farm to be serviced from the Ustka base will be Baltica 2, developed by PGE in cooperation with Ørsted.
