The Ministry of Economics of the Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania is accepting position statements up to and including 16/10/2023.
The object of the public participation that is hereby announced is the third approval section, i.e. the onshore route section. The subject at hand is the construction and operation of the land cable as a 220-kV AC cable system from its landing point near Vierow up to the new substation site between Stilow and Klein Ernsthof. Moreover, the approval section concerns the construction of two additional cable conduit systems for two future DC cable systems as well as the construction and operation of the substation in Stilow, including the construction and operation of the overhead line connection with all necessary installations.
The application documents for the onshore route section are available at the Lubmin county office from 31/8/2023 up to and including 02/10/2023.

Additionally, the application documents can also be consulted digitally on the website of the permitting authority, the Ministry of Economics, Infrastructure, Tourism and Labour of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania.
Anyone whose interests are affected by the project can file their objections against the plan in accordance with §73 (4) sentence 1 of the Administrative Procedure Act of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania (Verwaltungsverfahrensgesetz, VwVfG M-V). This is possible during the consultation round and up to two weeks after this period has ended, meaning up to and including 16/10/2023 at the latest. Applications can be submitted in writing or for recording to the Ministry of Economics, Infrastructure, Tourism and Labour of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Schlossstraße 6-8, 19053 Schwerin (hearing authority and planning approval authority) or to the Lumbin county office, Geschwister-Scholl-Weg 15, 17509 Lumbin. For associations within the meaning of §73(4) sentence 5 VwVfG M-V, this applies accordingly to the submission of position statements.
Ostwind 3 is divided into three approval sections in total. The first section is located in the Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ). The public participation for this section ended on 28 June 2023. The authority in charge of this procedure is the Federal Maritime and Hydrographic Agency. For the second section in coastal waters, the public participation ended on 28 July 2023. The permitting authority for the coastal water section and onshore section is the Ministry of Economics, Infrastructure, Tourism and Labour of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania.
Ostwind 3 is the grid connection project for the Windanker wind farm. A capacity of 300 MW will be transported from this wind farm. For the first time, the entire offshore substation (OSS) will be planned, constructed and operated by 50Hertz in addition to the cable systems that will connect the wind farm to the transmission grid.
